Pack & Store – A complete move-out solution for the summer.
Includes:
• Packing assistance in dorm or apartment – up to 2 hours.
• Items organized into labeled storage totes
• Pickup from dorm or apartment
• Secure climate-controlled summer storage
• Delivery back to dorm or apartment in the fall
Includes up to 6 storage totes
Additional totes: $20 each
Pack Only – We help your student pack their dorm or apartment, so everything is organized and ready to go.
Includes
• Packing help – up to 2 hours.
• Items sorted and labeled
• Totes/Boxes prepared for easy transport
Packing supplies available if needed.
Store Only – Already packed? We’ll pick it up and safely store it until fall.
Includes:
• Pickup from dorm or apartment
• Secure climate-controlled summer storage
• Delivery back to dorm or apartment in the fall

Q; How much can be stored in the Pack & Store package?
A: The Pack & Store package includes up to 6 storage totes, which typically fits the contents of a standard dorm room. Additional totes can be added for $20 each if needed.
Q: Do students need to pack their own items?
A: No — packing assistance is included in the Pack & Store service. We help organize and pack items into labeled totes to make the process quick and efficient.
If your student prefers to pack themselves, we also offer a Store Only option.
Q: Where are items stored?
A: All items are kept in secure, climate-controlled storage in the Iowa City area until the student returns for fall semester.
Q: When are items returned to students?
A: Delivery is scheduled before or during fall move-in, depending on the student’s housing situation. We coordinate timing so belongings are ready when students arrive back in Iowa City.
Q: What types of items can be stored?
A: Common items include:
• Bedding and linens
• Clothing and shoes
• Storage bins
• Small appliances
• Fans and lamps
• Rugs
• Luggage
• Mini fridges
If you have questions about a specific item, just ask!
Q: Can you store a mini fridge or larger item?
A: Yes. Mini fridges and other bulky items can be stored. These may count as additional storage items depending on size and would be additional charges.
Q: What if my student lives off campus?
A: No problem. We can pick up from University of Iowa dorms or nearby apartments in the Iowa City area.
Q: What if my student is also using Ship & Set?
A: Great! We can reuse the labeled totes from Ship & Set, making the move-out process even faster and more organized.
Q: Do semester members receive a discount?
A: Yes. MindyKnows Semester Members receive $50 off Pack & Store and priority scheduling for move-out week.
Q: How far in advance should we book?
A: We recommend booking 3–4 weeks before move-out, especially during finals week when demand is highest.
