After a failed attempt at clamming Sunday morning (the tide was too high all weekend, unless we wanted to go at 6 am!), Susie, Katie, and I set out to catch some Dungeness crabs with my neighbor, Doug, affectionately dubbed “Doug the Man” by Jetsetter on a previous crabbing expedition.

Although the photos will speak for themselves, I will say that neither Doug nor the crabs disappointed — We caught some waves with a fabulous boat ride around the island, pulled up a few traps Doug and my dad set out a few days prior to our arrival, and, Hey! We didn’t go hungry that night!
