Pinot Perfection

New playlist + 80 degree weather = another sweatfest!

{Yuck, apologies for the grimy screen!}

Immediately following my trail run I headed to the gym for a quick 20 minute weight lifting session. I had just enough time after to shower, take my hair which I declined to wash out of a sweaty ponytail, blow it dry, and throw some makeup and clothes on before picking Sarah up and heading to Santana Row for a glass wine… which of course turned into 3 glasses of wine — each — and dinner ;) Funny how that happens when you’re out with friends, huh?

Although Santana Row was packed, we lucked out and had the entire LB Steak outside lounge to ourselves — those seats are SO COMFY!

Sarah double-fisted a whiskey and pinot pairing while I worked on a glass of sparkling wine and some asparagus.

{Side of asparagus, $5}

For dinner I ordered the spaghetti and meatball dish with a glass of the ’08 Bernardus Pinot Noir. Ever since discovering Bernardus on my Big Sur Marathon getaway with Susie, I’ve been impressed by their wines again and again!

{Spaghetti and meatball, $15. Bernardus Pinot, $12}

Note I keep saying spaghetti and meatball, not plural?

I guess you can’t really tell from this picture, but the single meatball was ginormous — and delicious!

We closed down LB Steak around 10 pm and headed down The Row to Vintage Wine Bar for another glass of pinot.

This time I got a Kathryn Kennedy Pinot (I don’t recall the year Maybe ’07?). It was wonderful!

It is so nice to be able to marinate outside until midnight and enjoy a glass of wine with a friend! Absolutely loving California living right now…

…but I’m also looking forward to my upcoming vacation in Washington! Wahoo!  :D
