Can’t wait to take this baby on the trail tomorrow!

I had another really great shopping experience at an athletic store today! After pouring over tons of reviews online, I checked the Garmin site to find a store that carries one near me. For the record, there are A LOT! Although my favorite, Athletic Performance, was on the list, for convenience sake I checked out Sportissimo during my lunch. It’s just around the corner from my office.

I popped in after calling ahead to make sure they had it for the same price as it was online. They did and it was. The guys behind the counter knew their stuff and helped me decide once and for all that the 210 was exactly what I wanted when faced with a plethora of training watches. They had, to be sure, quite a collection! However, the 110 lacked the interval training feature I was looking for; the 310 is a monstrosity of a wristwatch; and the 405 and 410′s have too many features. This one fits me juuuuust riiiiight Plus, I like the fact that it boasts some of the latest greatest technology when it comes to locking onto GPS satellites as it just came out in October 2010.

While I was being rung up, we chatted a bit more about my running and racing and one of the guys gave me a free Sportissimo tee + the promise to price-match any other local store in terms of running shoe price. Sweet!
