Building A Better Burger

Thanks to Trader Joe’s awesome return policy — if you don’t like it, return it no questions asked — I am becoming more adventurous at trying new things. (Let it be known that I have only returned fresh produce that I noticed was bad when I got home and their no-cook lasanga noodles. Those were terrible and I had 3 boxes leftover!)

During my latest foray into their frozen food aisle, I emerged with Mahi Mahi Burgers. I often find myself craving burgers. But not just any burger… I like ‘em “Hawaiian style” with teriyaki and pineapple! I thought these Hawaiian style might just be a match made in Heaven. And you know what? I was right!

Mindy Knows a better burger: Trader Joes Mahi Mahi Burger on Milton’s Gourmet White Hamburger Buns with mayo, red onion, tomato slices, lettuce, pineapple, and teriyaki sauce. Served with a side of homemade baked sweet potato fries (make them like this) and fresh fruit.

LOVE one-stop shopping. EVERYTHING to complete this meal was purchased from Trader Joes! Although, the teriyaki sauce is homemade by Shrek but I’m sure TJs has one ready to use. I also think I will try topping my burger with pineapple rings next time. But not bad at all DELICIOUS for a first time making this at home!
