Friends, Fashion, and Fun

I spent Saturday with the girls at Santana Row’s Summer Fashion Show/Poolside Soiree sippin’ on champagne (just half a glass!), snackin’ on delectable light bites, and getting a little fashion inspiration. Although a bit on the chilly side (the high was only 62!), it was the perfect way to pass Saturday with my friends!

The show itself was created around and even over the pool at Santana Heights, the living complex part of the Row. I couldn’t have picked a better seat! We were front and center right on the runway so all the models stopped and posed directly in front of me and my camera! See how close we were to the runway? That’s a model’s flip flops.

Following are a few of my favorite looks from the event:

And now, some interesting tidbits I took away from the show.

If you’re going to wear a dress, know how to sit in it without flashing everyone. Especially when in the front row! Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, “Don’t text and……..!”

Featured fashions came from stores on the Row. This was how they announced what was up next:

This guy was such a ham for the camera! While walking the runway to Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal,” he paused in front of me and tore the floor up with a few moves! (My friend made a point of noting that he didn’t do that for anyone else ;) )

This “living dress” was ridiculous. Plus, she left a trail of dirt on the runway.

For those of you who share in the guilty pleasure of watching Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, HEY! I MET TAYLOR! :D She was co-hosting the event and 20% of ticket sales benefit her charity to help families who have from suffered domestic abuse. She is so sweet!

After the show we shopped the Row, the girls found more wine, I found Starbucks, and then G and I met the Shrekster to see Bridesmaids.
Holy shmoly, I haven’t laughed that hard during a movie in a looooong time!
