Sometimes things are just meant to be.
And in this case I mean me and Cherry Sushi! How YUM does this Titanic Roll look?

And this Spicy Crunch Roll?

After a disappointing attempt at sushi by Mizu Tuesday night (super slow, our order was brought to us incorrectly, and my mango roll had really, really old mango on it
), my sushi craving wasn’t satisfied. We decided to try again Wednesday night and checked out Cherry Sushi on El Camino in Santa Clara. I’ve always wondered about it every time we pass by it on the way to the Korean market and now I know: I was missing out!!
Miso Soup + Titanic, Spicy Crunch, and Tekka Maki Rolls at Cherry Sushi in Santa Clara. All for $35 including beer and tip! And I was stuffed! We hit their 10% off happy hour/early bird special (available Monday-Thursday) and the soup is always free. The service was friendly and on point. Cold stuff was served cold, hot stuff was served piping hot, and everything was delicious and fresh. Their Titanic Roll is definitely better than Mizu’s and rivals Blue Mango’s. No Mango Roll at Cherry, though, but hopefully I can persuade them to add it to their repertoire.
…Or just head over to Blue Mango for that one roll in particular. By far, Blue Mango’s got the best Mango Roll I’ve had. (As they should since it’s in their name!) Still, can’t wait to go back to Cherry and try more!!

P.S. Note how empty it was at 5:30 pm on Wednesday. It definitely picked up by the time we left, though!
