I’d been living in Northern California going on 9 years and had yet to see these giant Redwood trees we’re known for. Friday the sun was shining so Shrek and I hopped in the car bound for San Francisco and Muir Woods. Hike and a picnic lunch? It couldn’t have been a more picturesque and perfect day. Especially since it culminated in a lovely, simple dinner at home. Tonight my friend Susie is hosting a little birthday bash for me at her place and Shrek is making his crab cakes for the occasion. Since we knew we’d be cracking crab all night anyways, we picked up an extra for dinner to pair with white wine, bread, and cheese… Delish!
