I did something drastic today. In an effort to eat “healthier,” I put spinach in my breakfast smoothie.
The flavor was great! Tasted like vanilla and blueberries. (See ingredients below.) The consistency, however, was so not appealing. I could feel the spinach in between my teeth! It was… grainy. To sneak in an extra dose of vitamins I would recommend the spinach and use a straw!
Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- handful of frozen blueberries
- handful of spinach (I use fresh spinach leaves but I understand frozen works well too)
- 1 scoop vanilla flavored protein powder
- 2/3 cup milk
- flaxseed
