Champagne Brunch

To wrap up the remainder of my weekend, Sunday we hosted another champagne brunch. I decided to test my crepe-making skills for the first time EVER. Since eggs, potatoes, and sausage were already on the menu I decided a berry crepe wold be a nice addition. For the filling I added Grand Marnier and a little sugar to a bowlful of mixed berries. Later, Nutella, powdered sugar, and whipped cream to top them off. My friends swear they turned out great but I think I could use a little more practice ;)

My new champagne glasses. Love that they’re twice the size of my old glasses — perfect for champagne brunches! ;)

Sizzling breakfast sausage

This card was too funny to pass up. At first glance it looks all cutesy, then you look at it more closely and have a good laugh. At least, Shrek and I did when I gave it to him. Shrek surprised me with the flowers in the background. Hydrangeas (my favorite flowers along with tulips!) and seafood… two thumbs up for this Valentine’s Day weekend!
