From what I’m seeing on the national news each morning, a lot of y’all are snowed in. Over here in the Bay Area, however? We’re experiencing record-breaking highs! Take last weekend for instance. I ran outside in SHORTS and worked up a nice sweat. My girlfriends complained about the sun in their eyes during tennis. And? We BBQed with Shrek’s family, outside!

See that brightly colored orange blob above? It’s a yam and I’ve been hooked on these for the past few weeks now, even cooking four of them at a time and snacking on them while at work. (I reheat them in the microwave.) My boss passed by my desk yesterday and asked if I was eating a slice of carrot cake. No, not quite as fun… but from what I’ve read, they’re packed with nutrients and from my experience, they are the perfect sweetness. They don’t even need butter! Yummm!
