Check out the decadent goodness that arrived from my parents yesterday!

It’s a Royal Dessert Apple from the chocolate shop I worked at in Washington oh so many years ago as my very first job! Dunked in soft buttery caramel then dark chocolate, drizzled in milk and white chocolate and topped with salty pecans, I love these so much I attempted to replicate them here last Christmas… but of course nothing is as good as the real thing. Thanks for the sweet treat, guys! Shrek and I snacked on one of them (yeah, I got TWO!) as he MADE chicken yellow curry from scratch. It turned out to be his best batch yet! Can’t wait to dig into it again for lunch!

Chicken, carrots, potatoes, acorn squash, onions, and coconut baked in homemade yellow curry sauce. Yum!

Am also looking forward to making coconut macaroons this weekend using the remaining shredded coconut from his recipe. Think I’ll dunk a few in chocolate, too, for good measure. Hopefully this recipe turns out well!
