Holiday Happenings

One of the benefits of working for the same company is that Shrek and I get the same days off for Christmas and New Years, which means a 4 day weekend this week and a 5 day weekend next week. Score! Thursday I took full advantage of the nice weather here in Northern California. I went for a trail run, played tennis, grabbed a Starbucks latte and walked the Municipal Rose Garden. All before getting to work on crab cracking and prepping for the little holiday gathering we were hosting that evening. I’d invited a few of my favorites from SCU along with their guys for a potluck dinner, drinks, and putting competition where the winner took home a box of Godiva chocolates and a “bottle” of Grey Goose. (Once the winner was crowned we pulled out a $5 airline size bottle of Goose to go with the chocolates!) Despite the “somber-model” faces below — a look we were going for and achieved only by maybe 3/5 of us — we had a great time! Really, how could we not with all the food, fun, and fab friends we had gathered in one space?!
