I know it’s a little early for a “Thanksgiving post,” but I want to take a moment to marvel at the good in my life. This is not, by any means, an everything’s-hunky-dory-and-great-look-how-fab-my-life-is post. In fact, these last few weeks have been a roller coaster and I’m doing this in defiance of that. It’s far too easy to get caught up and focus on what’s not going well and what we wish we had and we forget to give thanks for what’s good in our lives right now. So here it goes:
- My good health. My body’s strong, my mind’s sound, my feet are quick, and man, I can really pack it away while maintaining my girlish figure.
- Being part of a two-income household with steady paychecks. Living in Silicon Valley and doing it up in Vegas for three days can really skew the reality of what a lot of people out there are facing.
- My parents. They are my sounding board, my biggest fans, and as much as they can drive me bananas, they are my rocks. I don’t know where I’d be without them. Really.
- Shrek. He’s got the biggest heart, patience beyond that which I can comprehend, mad cooking and cleaning skills, always acts with the best intentions, and he’s got my back. That’s the PG-version
- Girlfriends, old and new. I admire so many of their outstanding qualities and yet I’m completely at ease being myself with them. Looking forward to a girls’ trip to Napa next weekend!
- It’s November and I played tennis three nights in a row this week. In shorts and a tank. And last night this was my backdrop:

Wow! A blog after my own heart! Love you………….
What a great reminder of how good we all have it, Mindy! Awesome post!
We should be thankful what we have everyday. Have a great weekend
