Okay, the highlight of my trip? Shrek and I both agree that it was Le Reve, a STUNNING show presented at the Wynn Theatre.
If you spoke with me before my trip you know that I’d originally planned on seeing Cirque du Soleil’s O at the Bellagio. Unfortunately, we were unable to book two seats together. (Note: book your show tickets when you book your flight and hotel. Although, now we’ve got a good excuse to go back.) Our concierge recommended Le Reve which is not a Cirque du Soleil show but he promised it was just as good. Our verdict? IT WAS PHENOMENAL! Everything from the venue itself to the acrobatics, aerials, aquatics, and dancing was AMAZING and gorgeous. I’d never before seen such awesome feats performed live, right in front of me. I was riveted the entire time and never wanted it to end.

The view when you first enter the theater.

The finale.
If you must do one thing while you are in Vegas, you must promise me you will go see this show. Especially before they jack up the prices. This show is fairly new and compared to O’s ticket prices, we saved $100+ by seeing this instead.
There really isn’t a bad seat in the house as the stage is 360 degrees. At $99 each, Shrek and I purchased the most inexpensive seats in the house in the second row of the “splash zone.” If anything we may have gotten a few droplets but it was well worth it to sit so close. I’m sure the higher up you sit the easier it is to take everything in, but I LOVED feeling like I was IN IT. We were mere feet away from the performers and I’ve gotta say, their bodies are works of art! All sculpted and pure muscle. Every stunt appeared effortless and beautiful. Like I said, this show was the highlight of our trip and worth every penny. Shrek even wanted to see it AGAIN the following night — it was that outstanding! Finally, I didn’t realize until the end that the music and singing, which were equally as phenomenal as the aquatics and aerials, were LIVE. I had no idea! Just assumed it was piped in. Knowing this now makes the show even more amazing. For a little preview, check out this video by RawVegas.tv.
