Me and Jetsetter having a ball.
Last Saturday I organized a little bocce and wine night with my girlfriends and our respective men at Campo di Bocce followed by dinner at the Wine Cellar in Los Gatos. I love bocce, but I think the guys were even more into it as you can see from the photos below. Bets were wagered, strategy was discussed, and the tape measure came in handy more than twice.
If you haven’t already gone, Campo di Bocce is a brilliant venue to gather your friends and family to play some bocce ball, drink some wine, and eat some appetizers. (Love their bruschetta and calamari!) Everything you want to know about planning an event — prices, food options, and wine lists — or just dropping by for a quick round of bocce and beer are available to view on their website. If you’re in a smaller group, say less than 10, I would suggest taking advantage of your location and making a reservation elsewhere in downtown Los Gatos. It offers SO MANY great restaurants… Nick’s on Main, the Wine Cellar, or Valerianos, not to mention Dio Deka which is my fave but they’ve got a dress code.
One final tip: the outside bocce courts are lovely and I recommend reserving them over the inside courts if given the option.
Two more Bay Area transplants from Washington. They’re originally from Tacoma!

Focus.

Shrek visualizing a win.

We sent K down to keep the guys honest.

Shanghai Mama and her man

How color coordinated are we?!

This is around the time you start yelling at your ball to “STUH-AAAAWP” rolling!

Yes, that’s my red ball that I threw to take the win away from the boy’s green team!

Concerned. Who won?!
Jetsetter adopted my strategy — the more you drink the better you play!
According to my girlfriends, this is the only time I am allowed to hold my hands like that with a smile on my face. Ha!
Happiness is…..
Good game, guys!
Smooch!
Love!
Me and Shanghai Mama. She is the Kevin Bacon of our group… we all are connected and met through her!
