Between San Jose and San Francisco I’m in Foodie Heaven. The only problem? The price tag. At too many, one meal out costs close to (and occasionally more than) what I pay for one week’s worth of groceries. Therefore, if you’re like me and looking to save on your next dinner out in San Francisco or San Jose check out some of these sites.

Dine About Town is back this June. Check links below for participating restaurants and pre-fixe menus. Last time Shrek, Jetsetter, and I dined at Roy’s in SF. It was sooo good but be warned: drinks are not included and we definitely spent more than $30 a piece.

Bloomspot San Francisco has daily deals that usually offer something like $25 for $50 worth of food. The deal I saw didn’t apply towards drinks. Transactions are made online and coupons are instantly emailed for immediate use. To avoid having to compulsively check the site each day for details I simply became a fan of Bloomspot SF on Facebook. Now all deals are posted to my newsfeed. They’ve also got separate sites and deals for LA and NYC.

Finally, I also like Half Off Deals. It’s exactly what it sounds like. Most deals are $25 to receive $50 gift certificates that can be redeemed at a restaurant of your choice. To search participating restaurants near you, visit their website. Also, it’s not just limited to San Francisco! The only drawback is that you have to wait for your transaction to be processed and coupons to be mailed to you so plan ahead!
