Moda is Italian for fashion. According to Meryl Streep’s character in one of my favorite movies of all time, The Devil Wears Prada, it’s the designers like Italy’s Gucci, Armani, Cavalli, Sergio Rossi, Missoni, and Versace who influence what we pick up at the local Gap and Old Navy.

I took this photo while studying in Verona, Italy, four years ago and I’m still waiting for the trend to catch on here in the states.
